Marcus Martinez

Warehouse Lead

As Roco’s Warehouse Lead, Marcus is a tremendous asset to our company. He is always willing to lend a hand – no matter who needs help. Marcus skillfully handles our day-to-day equipment orders and incoming/outgoing shipments along with the coordination of training kits, rescue standby kits, training materials, etc. He understands that his role at Roco is very important to the smooth operations of the company!

Marcus started working for Roco in 2024. He hit the ground running and has continued to be a key player in his role as Warehouse Lead. He is responsible for inventory control along with customer equipment orders. His helpful, upbeat attitude has made him the “go-to” guy for most everyone within the company. Prior to joining Roco, Marcus held various positions in logistics and inventory management. He also served as Site Shift Supervisor in a local industrial facility and Performance Leader for Georgia Pacific PEO teams (Fire, Rescue, Medical and HazMat).

Roco’s mission, according to Marcus, is “There is always a safer way to do any job.” He states that the most rewarding part of his job is building teamwork with other key players in the company. Marcus adds that he loves his job at Roco – and that its team members really do treat you like family.

Aside from Roco, Marcus plays competitive men’s softball. Quite often you’ll find him enroute to Texas to play in a tournament. Marcus loves to go RVing with his wife, Toni, as well as hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife have three grown children along with two awesome grandsons, Jackson and Greyson.

Marcus and his wife currently live in Zachary, north of Baton Rouge. Perhaps what’s most interesting, is that he grew up in East Texas in Joaquin (“wah-KEEN”) – which is very near where the owner of the company hails from. In fact, their two high schools were big competitors in football. According to Roco owner Kay Goodwyn, “his high school and mine were ‘bitter rivals’ and remain so to this day!” However, she adds, the most important thing is that they’re both Texans…and East Texans, at that. We appreciate you, Marcus!
