Jacob Melancon, ASP
Safety Services Field Manager
Jacob joined Roco Rescue in July 2021 as a crew member and has since advanced through the roles of Crew Chief, Senior Crew Chief, Safety Specialist, and now Safety Services Field Manager. He is currently supporting a major construction project in Tennessee. Before joining Roco, Jacob served as a professional firefighter for 13 years, achieving the rank of Captain.
He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Fire and Emergency Services and is an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 2015 and is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health through Columbia Southern University.
Jacob lives in Pine Prairie, Louisiana, with his wife Crystal, an Registered Nurse, and their two daughters, both active in band. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, playing drums, supporting LSU football and gymnastics, and volunteering as Vice President of the Pine Prairie Band Boosters.
For Jacob, the most rewarding part of his work with Roco is helping others and ensuring that everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
