Description

The SMC X-Large Locking Steel Carabiner is one of the largest and strongest UL certified carabiners currently on the market. The offset D shape and large gate opening easily fit over a standard 1.25in ladder rung and most litter rails making this carabiner an indispensable tool for firefighting, rescue and industrial use. It features a stainless steel gate and locking sleeve for greater strength and reliability. The sleeve locks on the gate instead of the body of the carabiner, thereby removing the problem of the knob binding on the frame after the carabiner has been loaded. The zinc-plated finish on the frame resists corrosion and rust even when scratched. All parts of this carabiner are carefully hand-finished after machining contributing to the smooth free gate action that SMC carabiners are known for. All SMC NFPA carabiners have the required certification information stamped on the frame and the user information is enclosed with each item as required by NFPA.
